This allows the sample to become more liquid and then we can pipette a small portion onto a slide for analysis. If the lab does not have access to this enzyme, an alternative is to aspirate the sample in and out of a syringe with succesively smaller needles attached. Start with a large needle and move to smaller needles as the sample breaks up. Be careful not to introduce too many air bubbles while doing this. Good luck.
