How much do you pay for a donor fee? The compensation for completing a donor cycle is $5,500.00. Back to the Top
What expenses do you cover/reimburse? We will reimburse your mileage, bridge tolls, parking, childcare, notary fees, and prescriptions. For donors traveling from a distance greater than 150 miles we will reimburse your meals (up to $35.00). Remember, ALL original receipts must be included in order to receive full reimbursement. How many times will I have to come to San Francisco? We will ask you to come to our clinic for the screening appointments and then at the end of the cycle for the monitoring and the retrieval. We estimate that you will need to travel to our clinic between 5-10 times. Back to the Top
Is there parking at the clinic? Yes, there is a parking garage at the rear of the building, another one across the street, and plenty of metered parking on Francisco and Montgomery Streets. Back to the Top
Do I have to meet the recipients? No, our program is anonymous. If both parties are interested in meeting we can facilitate a mediated consult between the donor, recipient and our Clinical Counselor. Remember, ALL parties must be amenable to meeting. Back to the Top
How many cycles can I do as a donor? Our maximum number of cycles you can complete is six. Back to the Top
Can I be registered with other donor agencies? No. If you become a registered donor with PFC, we ask you to close any files you may have at other egg donor agencies. This eliminates the possibility of two couples simultaneously selecting you as an egg donor. Back to the Top
From the point you are chosen until egg retrieval the process can take approximately 3 months. Back to the Top
Do you need donors with my background? Yes, we have clients from all over the globe, and we like to provide a variety of women for them to choose from, therefore we welcome every type of ethnicity. Back to the Top
Do I need to have proven fertility? No, it is not required that you have proven fertility, i.e. become pregnant, suffered a miscarriage, had an abortion, or delivered a baby. Back to the Top
The factors recipients consider are varied and personal. Often physical appearances are not a critical part of the decision making process. Many are looking for a donor with excellent medical history or donors who share similar interests. It is very important that you complete the application as thoroughly as possible. The recipients appreciate all the information you can provide. Back to the Top
Do you have height or weight restrictions? Our medical board has guidelines which are set up for health purposes, not superficial reasons. The standards are reasonable so most women will fall into the established ranges. Back to the Top
Do I need to send original photos? Yes. We ask that you send original photographs so a clear scan can be made. At your request, we will return all photos when your file is closed. Back to the Top
Are there any side effects to the medication? Some women experience no side effects while others suffer from heightened PMS symptoms (breast tenderness, bloating, etc.) Every woman has an individualized response. Back to the Top
Do I need to abstain from intercourse for the entire three month process? No, we only ask you to abstain from sexual intercourse during the time you are injecting the stimulation medication and then directly following the retrieval, approximately three weeks.
